Makor is my system for typesetting Hebrew with TeX. It uses an
intuitive interface---that is, you type characters on the English
keyboard according to more-or-less what they sound like, and Makor
renders them in proper Hebrew, both with and without vowels (nekudot).
The vowels are properly centered on their letters, and final letters
are selected automatically by Makor+TeX. This package works with
both plain TeX and LaTeX.

This new version is formally version~1.0. In addition to many bug
fixes, the new version includes:

  * support of many more fonts:
    -- OmegaSerifHebrew, which is like David or David light;
    -- Ezra (in regular, italic, bold, bold italic, and outline
          variants);
    -- Rashi (regular and bold); and
    -- Hadassah (regular, italic, bold, and bold italic);

  * ability to typeset numbers properly amid Hebrew text;

  * special typesetting treatment of the defective cholem;

  * Hebrew table macros---you enter the columns left-to-right, and
    Makor typesets them right-to-left; and

  * much, much more!

The package is documented in the file makorman.tex. Please check out
the file makorman.pdf which is replete with examples to see if this
package might be of interest to you.
