ChkTeX
				======

This directory contains ports of ChkTeX to various platforms.
Currently, the directory contains the following subdirs:

  amiga   -- Amiga port. Compiled by moi. 
  msdos   -- MS-DOS port. This port was done by Bj\o rn Ove Thue
             (<bjort@ifi.uio.no>).
  os2     -- OS/2 port. Please read the file "Readme.os2". This port 
             was done by Wolfgang Fritsch (<fritsch@hmi.de>).
             NOTE: He has not had the time to port the sources for
             v1.5; the old v1.4 binary is therefore included. This may
             need some modifications to the ".chktexrc" file.
  unix    -- General UN*X "port"; you have to compile the program
             yourselves.
  generic -- This distribution contains _only_ the source code for
             this project, and does not come with any executables,
             installation & configuration scripts, etc.

The difference between the archives is which pre-compiled binary they
contain and what kind of installation script that is included.

Before doing any installation/compilation, please take your time to
read the "ChkTeX.readme" file.

If you wish to port ChkTeX to a new environment, you should obtain the
generic version of the archive; as this doesn't contain any
pre-compiled binaries or installation scripts.
