This directory contains various locally developed emacs lisp software,
the most prominent probably being the AUC TeX package.

"@" means symbolic link, and "/" means a directory.
Entries marked with "*" are also included in the AUC TeX package.

Note that files with names

   *.Z are compressed files.  Use uncompress or gunzip to unpack.
   *.gz are gzip'ed files.  Use gunzip to unpack.

gzip is more efficient than compress, i.e. less transfer time. 
gzip is available for ftp at prep.ai.mit.edu.
