1. e-TeX V1.1 (the first production release) is still available for general access, but is deprecated in favour of
2. e-TeX V2.0 the formal release of which was timed to coincide with the formal release of the TeX Live III CD on which it can also be found. Users of TeX Live III should be aware that there is a buglet in the CD version of "etex.src" which causes a page to be written to the DVI file when the format is dumped; the version found here has that bug corrected
3. e-TeX V2.1 was announced by Peter Breitenlohner on Wednesday 3rd February 1999 at 09:21:54 +0100 (MET). As the long-term canonical home for e-TeX is uncertain, V2.1 is currently available from Peter's FTP site.
