NTeX 2.3.2
----------

The release 2.3.2 of NTeX is a fast fix as the former version 2.3.1
contained a totally outdated NTeX. It only updates LaTeX2e and related
packages. The rest isn't changed.

Please note that the X user interface of InstallNTeX only works with
Tcl/Tk 4.2 (wish4.2). If you have a later or earlier version use the
run "InstallNTeX --noX".

For a first time installation of NTeX please refer to the INSTALL file
and the ntex guide.

I will continue to maitain NTeX, but please understand that I am
currently too busy to work on it. I plan to come up with a completely
reworked release in 1999, but right now I can't promise anything. I
will also try to answer any of your mails, but you have to be patient
waiting for an answer.


Updating from 2.3.1 to 2.3.2
----------------------------

To update from 2.3.1 to 2.3.2 get the new files/packages:

	InstallNTeX
	ntex.pkg
	base/nb-ltx2e.pkg
	base/nb-ltxpg.pkg
	base/nb-dvips.pkg
	base/nb-amstx.pkg

and optionally the sources

	source/ns-ltx2e.pkg
	source/ns-ltxpk.pkg

Put them all in some directory (say /tmp/ntex). Then execute the
following commands:

	cd /tmp/ntex
	ADMDIR/sbin/NTeX-install --config --update *.pkg

When you are asked about already existing binaries or shared libraries
and if you want to continue answer with y [yes]. Then all the packages
will be installed. To configure the newly installed packages run

	ADMDIR/sbin/NTeX-config --pending

If you want you can just used your old configuration as no new
configuration options have been added. But you can also check the
options again. After you executed the configuration without any errors
(please check the output of the configuration scripts!) the update
is complete.
